As a Science Writer, Asia uses plain language principles to translate and communicate complex scientific information into easy, accurate, and understandable language for the general public to read, use, and act on.
Asia has always enjoyed the exploration aspect of science and the artistry of language, so pursuing a career in health literacy was always the natural path. As a writer on the Clearly Communicating Clinical Trials (C3T) team, Asia is able to utilize her strengths and pursue her passion of science and language by serving as a writer, editor, and scientific accuracy reviewer of plain language trial summaries.
Prior to joining HLM, Asia was inducted into the Rutgers Institute for Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowships where she completed a fellowship in the capacity of Global and U.S. Oncology Medical Information/Medical Science Liaison Strategy. Throughout her fellowship, Asia had the opportunity to support and manage several projects and initiatives for various oncology products in different stages of the product lifecycle.
Asia holds a bachelor's degree in biology and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University College of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences.
