As a Business Office Associate, Chris provides financial, operational, and administrative support to the HLM team. While his work is mostly behind the scenes, and you may never find him on the other end of your emails, he plays an important role in HLM’s success.

Being raised by healthcare and social work professionals committed to caring for others, and watching his relatives who don’t speak English as their first language struggle in the US healthcare system inspired Chris to pursue an education in health administration and a career in supporting health, wellness, and community services. Chris knows that health literacy can help bridge the gap for individuals who may have trouble understanding medical information and terminology, and believes that HLM is that bridge.

HLM has given him, in his words, “the opportunity to live out my career aspirations by providing service through day to day operational, administrative, and financial management.” As a Business Office Associate, Chris works behind the scenes providing support to the team and keeping the business and operations side of HLM running. Chris is responsible for maintaining financial records, processing invoicing, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. He also manages credit card reconciliation, filing systems, and tracking staff effort on active projects.

Chris earned his bachelor’s in health administration at the University of Missouri - Columbia, holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, and gained practical administrative and credentialing experience at University of Missouri Hospital.
